Safety First
Cevet Services is fully licensed and insured, and our company is committed to safety,
both for our employees and for our customers.
We are in full compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Agency (OSHA) regulations.
We establish rescue procedures, give training in CPR (all our personnel are CPR certified), and do
aerial rescue training (we practice aerial rescue each month). With our safety checklists and weekly
safety meetings, Cevet also meets the OSHA stipulation that employees be trained in work practices and
safety procedures. As a member of the Tree Care Industry Association,
we participate in their Electrical
Hazards Awareness Program (EHAP) correspondence course.
John Allen has successfully completed the requirements set by the
Arborist Certification Board of the International
Society of Arborculture and is an ISA Certified Arborist and ISA Certified Arborist/Utility
Specialist.
Stewart Scott has succesfully completed the Tree Care
Industry Association's EHAP (Electrical Hazards Awareness Program) and also has
become a ISA Certified Arborist.
Our employees work through the six-session study course on electricity and the utility industry, electrical
hardware recognition, electrical hazard recognition, work practices around electrical hazards, aerial rescue techniques,
and safety standards for line clearance tree trimming and tree care. In addition to regular training, we also make it a
priority to use equipment that puts a premium on safety. Among the equipment we use is TSE-International’s Mechanical Tree
Trimmer, which features a cab that meets current SAE requirements for ROPS (Roll Over Protection Standards J 1040C) as well
as FOPS (Falling Object Protection Standards J 231).
